Inky's World is a hand-drawn adventure game. You guide a little black ink character through pencil-sketched landscapes. Along the way, you cross grassy platforms, tall trees, narrow passages, and gaps that need careful jumps. Stars are scattered through each level, giving you a reason to explore instead of running straight to the finish.
What Makes Inky's World Worth Exploring?
- Hand-drawn environments: Scribble Woods is all pencil sketches - trees, hills, houses, floating platforms, and the lot.
- Bouncing movement: Some surfaces are bouncy. Hold Space when you land, and Inky goes higher.
- Flying sections: Hold Space to fly, steer left or right to clear wider gaps.
- Star collection: Stars sit above platforms, near trees, and in spots that are harder to reach.
- Platform challenges: Uneven ground, deep pits, narrow ledges, and obstacles along the way.
Read the Level Before Making Your Move In Inky's World
Not every platform leads straight to the finish. Look beyond the nearest ledge and see which surfaces actually connect to the next bit. Check the gaps, heights, and where you can land. That higher route looks tempting, but the lower one might be the safer cross.
Watch where you land after each section. If the next platform's too far, find another way instead of repeating the same failed jump. This matters most in levels with a bunch of floating platforms close together - one wrong turn and Inky's back at the start.
Treat each level like a small route-finding puzzle, not a race to the exit. Plan the pyour path first, you'll save yourself a few failed attempts.
Collect Stars Without Missing Your Path
Don't just rush to the end. Some stars are higher than your normal path, so look for nearby platforms to reach them. If one's too high, bounce off a surface for extra height, then steer toward it.
The further you go, the more careful you'll need to be with jumps and flying. Take your time, grab what stars you can, and see how far you get through Scribble Woods in Inky's World.
If you enjoy platform adventures but want a different way to overcome obstacles, try Mimelet. Instead of bouncing and flying through Scribble Woods, you absorb abilities from enemies and use their powers to solve platform challenges. Each new ability changes how you approach the next obstacle, making every level a different kind of puzzle.
